PROJECT ENGINEER
Job description
The Project Engineer supports the design, documentation, and execution of LED, audio/video, and control system projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate is a detail-driven designer who can interpret field conditions, translate engineering intent into detailed drawings, and communicate effectively with project managers, field teams, and vendors.
Job responsibilities
Design & Documentation
- Create and maintain detailed CAD drawings for LED displays, audio/video systems, control wiring, and structural mounting assemblies.
- Develop plan views, elevations, sections, rack layouts, and wiring schematics that reflect engineering intent and field constraints.
- Manage drawing revisions, maintain file organization, and ensure consistency with company standards and title blocks.
- Convert field measurements, markups, and sketches into precise, build-ready documentation.
- Update drawings to reflect as-built conditions and maintain revision control.
Project Engineering & Coordination
- Work with Project Managers to define drawing needs and documentation deliverables for each phase.
- Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors to ensure compatibility of mounting details, power, and data requirements.
- Support material takeoffs, bill-of-materials generation, and cable schedules derived from drawing sets.
- Communicate with onsite teams to verify site conditions, and adjust designs as needed.
- Participate in technical meetings and assist in project planning, permitting, and hand-off documentation.
Quality & Process Control
- Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project scope.
- Maintain drawing libraries and standard details for racks, LED structures, and typical wiring layouts.
- Support process improvements in drawing standards, documentation templates, and workflows between Engineering and Operations.

Qualifications
- Communication: Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2–5 years in project engineering, system design, or CAD drafting (preferably in AV, LED, or construction industries).
- Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or similar CAD platforms; familiarity with Microsoft Office, AutoDesk.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of mechanical mounting, low-voltage systems, and electrical layout practices.

- Salary Range - $70,000-$80,000
