How close will people be to the screen?

FAQ

Questions we hear most

Talk to our install team
What types of LED displays do you install?

Indoor fine pitch COB, GOB and SMD walls, standard indoor LED, rigged screens and structures, scoreboards and ribbon boards, transparent LED, LED posters and trade show displays, plus outdoor new construction displays, scoreboards, transparent LED and billboards.

How long does a permanent LED installation take?

Every installation depends on job site variables, including size, structure, site work and whether contractor work is complete before we arrive. Most indoor installations are completed within 6–10 weeks, and outdoor installations usually take 8–12 weeks. Our process starts with a project timeline that lays out your site visit, engineering, fabrication and install dates up front.

What pixel pitch do we need for a scoreboard or video board?

It comes down to how close your nearest viewers will be. As a rule of thumb, the minimum viewing distance in meters roughly equals the pixel pitch in millimeters, and the comfortable range starts at about 2.5 times that. A 3.91mm courtside board looks sharp from 32 feet and beyond, while a 10mm stadium board is built for 82 feet and beyond. See the viewing distance chart to compare common pitches and applications.

Do you handle engineering, permits and structure?

Yes. Our team provides the engineering design for all of our LED assemblies and control system connections (LED, audio and CMS). Once our designs are complete, a third-party engineer reviews them and provides a structural stamp. We can also obtain permits for your project: we guide you through the process, and you handle the filing. After the plans are approved, our team can help manage, fabricate and install any new construction.

Can you integrate scoring, audio and content control?

Yes. Our team builds both audio and LED systems and integrates them with ProPresenter, ProScoreboard, ScoreVision or whichever media player your team prefers. Above all, we pride ourselves on training your staff to run events and handle day-to-day use.

What support do you offer after installation?

Our team monitors and fulfills warranty terms throughout the OEM warranty period for every component in your system. We also provide 24/7 service and support through our toll-free number, (888) 859-6743, or by email at info@lumenousedge.com. When something goes wrong (and it will, it’s technology!), you’ll have a partner there to keep your system from being down for long.
